Ouch!!!

It has been a long interesting week. On Tuesday night I was getting the kids in the truck to head home. I was carrying Carson and trying to get him in the back seat of the truck, I reached across the back of the truck to pull out the other (pop out) seat in the back. I couldn't quit reach the seat to pull it down so I twisted my hips slightly to reach further. As I twisted I thought my leg would twist with my body but I had too much pressure on my foot and my knee took all the tweaking. It popped 4 or 5 times and was extremely painful I immediately fell to try and sit as Christina caught me! I sat there and cried for awhile as I tried to figure out what I had just done. By the time I got home my knee was all swollen and hurt really bad, i knew there was something wrong so I got an appointment with a Orthopedic Specialist the next day and the doctor said he thought I either tore my Meniscus or my A.C.L. and I have Locked Knee, and that it needs surgery! Well I went into surgery Friday at 3:00pm and didn't get out till 9:00pm that night! The surgery went well although the outcome was not what we thought it would be. I dislocated my knee and all the popping was the breaking of my Femur bone! I broke off a piece of my Femur and the piece got lodged in my joint under my knee cap which made it impossible to bend my knee! The Doctor removed the piece of bone and Sanded down the rough end of the Femur bone so that I can walk normal on it again! He also relocated it back into place! The great news is that I only have to stay off it for 7 to 10 days and then I start walking and bending it back slowly till I have full range of motion back! This would be the greatest adventure going on for me right now. Also last night and this morning was the Brenden Murton Big Event in Sandy and believe it or not I went and it was absolutely amazing, wouldn't have missed it for all the pain in the world! I will have pictures posted here shortly so keep an eye out!

I also just want to thank everyone that has been there to help out with this obstacle in our lives, especially My Heavenly Father! Thank You!!! My wonderful husband Jake, Ashley & Mike, Andrea, Melanie & Aaron, Mom & Dad, Aaron, Bishop Payne & his wife, VaNika and Valorie, Tiffany, Christina & Brianna, and my 2 little boys who always want to help with everything :)!!! I am the luckiest person in the world to have such amazing people in my life, don't know what I would do without you!!! Thanks again guys ;)
